Stock Index Futures/options

Concept of Stock Index Futures/options in the context of derivatives contract, by the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA): A financial contract based on the value of an underlying stock index such as the FTSE 100 in the UK, the Dow Jones and the S & P 500 index in the USA and the Nikkei 225 and 300 in Japan. Delivery of the contract is fulfilled by the payment or receipt of cash against the exchange calculated delivery settlement price.
