Concept of Exempt Foreign Firm in Futures Trading
In this context of financial law, the following is a definition of Exempt Foreign Firm: A foreign firm that does business with U.S. customers only on foreign exchanges and is exempt from registration as a futures commission merchant under CFTC regulations based upon compliance with its home country’s regulatory framework (also known as a ‘Rule 30.10 firm’).
