Concept of Exempt Commodity in Futures Trading

In this context of financial law, the following is a definition of Exempt Commodity: The Commodity Exchange Act defines an exempt commodity as any commodity other than an excluded commodity or an agricultural commodity. Examples include energy commodities and metals. See 7 USC 1a(20).
