Concept of Pay/Collect in Futures Trading

In this context of financial law, the following is a definition of Pay/Collect: A shorthand method of referring to the payment of a loss (pay) and receipt of a gain (collect) by a clearing member to or from a clearing organization that occurs after a futures position has been marked-to-market.
