Concept of Call Auction in Futures Trading

In this context of financial law, the following is a definition of Call Auction: An auction in which the traders place limit bids and offers over a specified time period and those orders are subsequently matched, as opposed to an order book format where standing bid and offer prices are continuously available to all market participants.
